Right now, we are seeking Business Development Superheroes for our media sales team to work across our suite of Cornwall Living media projects. You will hunt for new opportunities, build consultative client relationships and work one-on-one with business owners to grow advertising revenues. As a member of our media sales team you will enjoy:

Responsibilities:

Our media sales team collaborate with business owners to grow advertising revenues and sell a multi-media offering. You are accountable for meeting and exceeding sales targets and growing your client base as your own business, in order to grow revenues and deliver ideas for your clients to provide new revenue opportunities for Engine House Media.

The role includes:

Finding and developing new business

Identify new sales opportunities with the aim to achieve personal and team targets

  • Leveraging relationships for referrals

  • Running multiple sales appointments; meeting face-to-face with customers

  • Present meetings, proposals and pipeline revenue to the sales manager

  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

We’re looking for a go-getter who will become an expert on our media products. Someone who’s not scared to use the phone, pound the pavement, network, and get involved in the community. If that’s you, we want to hear from you!

  • 5+ years media sales experience in a media environment (essential)

  • An understanding of the maths of selling - more calls = more appointments = more sales

  • Proven track record of successful new business development

  • Proven track record of exceeding targets

  • Strong work ethic and highly motivated

  • The ability to manage objections and deliver creative solutions

  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills

  • Self-disciplined to work independently

  • Valid driver’s licence
